Revision of Church Electoral Rolls
Annual Revision of the Church Electoral Rolls
Each year we revise our Church Electoral Rolls for each of the two parishes. A copy of the legal Notice of Revision of Church Electoral Roll for each parish can be viewed from these links: Warton & Borwick_Notice of Revision of Church Electoral Roll; Yealand_Notice of Revision of Church Electoral Roll.
Being on a Church Electoral Roll is a way of signifying, firstly, a commitment to the Church of England and secondly, an undertaking to the Church in our Benefice through a specific connection with either the Parish of St Oswald, Warton and St Mary, Borwick or the Parish of St John, Yealand. This undertaking should indicate a willingness to make a contribution to the life of the Church. Such a contribution does not just mean ‘giving money’, although our church does need such a resource, but ideally giving of yourself, for the sake of God’s Kingdom.
Any persons whose name is not on the present roll for the appropriate parish and who wish to have their names entered must apply for enrolment not later than Wednesday 30th September. The new Roll will come into operation on Wednesday 7th October. No new names can be added between 30th September and the date of the relevant Annual Parochial Church Meeting.
UPDATE: The Rolls has been revised.
