With Kate resigning as editor, it is a good opportunity to plan what we want to do next. Please keep the link to this forum private.

I know many many folk who like to sit down with the parish mag and a brew with their diaries….. it would be a shame if it totally disappeared physically. A lot of our community don’t access the internet either.

Have we got an editor? Otherwise it is pointless discussing the topics .

The paper copies I deliver are much appreciated by their recipients.

When Robin was here and after much discussion at the then PCC it was decided to reduce greatly the number of copies printed & other access to be electronically . Printed ones went to people who expressed their wish to Robin to receive a paper copy .Some copies were still available at the post office . The reason behind this change was the overall cost of producing the magazine. Another reason to consider was the distribution , people available to do this had shrunk.

Following on from the above post :- Later after Robin had left it was decided by ? to canvas parishioners & the wider community to ask how and when they would like to receive the Parish news. The assumption was that the access to the news had changed because of Covid , this was NOT the case. I assume that the outcome from the feedback was that the Parish news be issued twice monthly and more printed copies . It was also discussed by the PCC last year with regard to professional printing but n/a was taken . This brings us to today and yet more discussion.

Is there anybody willing to do monthly or bimonthly editing as their contribution to the life of the benefice? If not, should we find a pattern where editing might be offered – please see frequency topic.

With regards to professional printing, we are still in contract for out photocopier and so it makes sense to keep printing in-house until the contract ends. Trevor can advise as to when that is.
